Triangle Dive Shop (also known as TDS), holds “Scuba Socials” each month. You do NOT have to be a current customer/student to attend as this is for ALL of our community. Each month we feature a different themed event which may or may not involve diving. During the warmer months (we generally call it dive season), we are usually diving. However, we have plenty of events that do not require being certified, do don’t be afraid to bring a friend, even if they are not a diver.
These events are a great opportunity to meet new friends, talk to our dive staff, go diving (most of the time) or just hang out with amazing humans. If we are diving, you MUST be a certified diver to actually dive. This is a great opportunity to expand your “dive circle”, explore different parts of our local quarries, make new friends, maybe learn a few things and, most importantly, make bubbles!
Our outings are usually low-key affairs with a set time to meet up, expected splash time (when diving) and an expected end time. No registration is required at this time HOWEVER we ask that you RSVP so we can get a headcount.
Our Scuba Socials are generally free to attend but we have cylinders & scuba equipment available for rent if you need anything for your dives. In addition, if you are unfamiliar with the dive location, we will have Instructors or Divemasters in attendance to give you a site briefing.
See below for our TDS Scuba Social schedules, locations & times.
We have a passion for all things diving. A very large part of diving culture is the dive community. While every diver has their “favorite” dive buddy, there’s quite a lot to be said to jump into the water with different divers, or socialize with different communities, to learn how they may do things differently, know of different locations or simply are different people. Having a “formal” but low-key days to meet up allows divers from all different areas to meet. up, socialize, have fun and go diving! In the end, as a dive shop, we want to support our local community with enables you to do what you love.
We’ll have one themed Scuba Social per month. Please see below for each months time, date, location and theme!
