Our summer scuba camps are an immersive (har har) experience where each student learns how to scuba dive with our experienced instructor in a relaxed environment. In addition, by the end of the course you will earn a lifetime diving certification valid throughout the world. Learning how to scuba is more than simply a fun summer experience, it’s a gateway to a lifelong passion in exploring our underwater world.
Each Scuba camp is conducted over 5 days and ends with a guided celebration (fun) dive as a certified diver, a cookout and a chance to sit down with your camp mates and instructor to go over the week, share your stories and learn more about diving throughout the world.
Our scuba camps are designed for anyone between the ages between 12-80. If you have a 10-11 year old, please call the shop as we may be able accommodate you with prior notice. Please see below for class dates, rates and additional
Our scuba camp lasts 5 days, from 8am – 5pm each day. The rough schedule is below but the instructor will verify the exact times/locations depending on class needs. Please note, food is not provided on any day so please bring snacks/lunch & lots of water with you.
1st Day – AM – Orientation, knowledge review and gear fitting @ Triangle Dive Shop (135 S. Miami Blvd Durham, NC)
1st Day – PM – Confined Water Diving @ Fantasy Lake Adventure Park (3601 Quarry Rd Wake Forest, NC)
2nd Day – AM/PM – Confined Water Diving @ Fantasy Lake Adventure Park (3601 Quarry Rd Wake Forest, NC)
3rd Day – AM/PM – Confined Water/Open Water Diving @ Fantasy Lake Adventure Park (3601 Quarry Rd Wake Forest, NC)
4th Day – AM/PM – Open Water Diving @ Fantasy Lake Adventure Park (3601 Quarry Rd Wake Forest, NC)
5th Day – AM/PM – Open Water/Fun Diving & Lunch @ Fantasy Lake Adventure Park (3601 Quarry Rd Wake Forest, NC).
Upon completion of your scuba camp, you will receive:
– Open water diver certification (max depth rating of 60′)*
– Dive certification
– Any additional certifications you elect to pursue during camp
* To earn your scuba diver rating, each student must show mastery of each skill. Our scuba camp gives ample time for our instructors to work with each student to overcome any difficulties they face.
