It is vital to service your scuba equipment, especially your regulators & BCD, according to the manufacturer standards. These are critical life support systems which, when not properly maintained, can pose hazards to safe diving. The service schedule will depend on the manufacturer but, in general, your regulator & BCD should be bench tested every year and overhauled every 2-3 years (or 100 dives, whichever comes first) . Even when you you’ve been out of the water a while, o-rings and other parts will continue to age, so regular servicing is an important part of a properly functioning kit.
Our factory authorized technicians completely disassemble, clean reusable parts using ultrasound, install new o-rings, apply lubricants, reassemble and perform an overall inspection of regulators, hoses, mouthpieces, valves, inflators, straps, buckles and other components. After all work is completed, testing is performed to insure everything in working within factory specification or as intended.
